20000137050

Miele vacuum cleaners are synonymous with perfection, performance, and quality. They also come with unique features and outstanding longevity, making them an excellent long-term investment. However, since the brand now offers a wide range of vacuums with a variety of functions, finding the right one might be challenging. That’s where this buying guide comes in handy.

We have narrowed down the list of Miele vacuum cleaners to four options. Each of these vacuums is different from the next. They do, however, share a few characteristics: exceptional durability, incredible suction power, and excellent filtration. They also perform amazingly well at cleaning hardwood floors.

1-Miele Triflex HX1 (Best Stick Vacuum)

Miele Triflex HX1 Battery Powered Bagless Stick Vacuum, Lotus White

Miele has been manufacturing vacuum cleaners since 1927. And with the Triflex, you’ll see that all their expertise has been applied to this vacuum.

The name “Triflex” comes from the fact that it can be set up in three different ways. Each configuration will help you clean specific areas more efficiently.

You can set the Miele Triflex HX1 as a handheld mode for above-floor cleaning, a regular stick mode, or a third configuration in which you connect the main base to the vacuum’s head and then attach the stick to the handle.

The third mode is where the magic happens, though. You’ll scarcely notice the weight on your forearm, allowing you to clean more comfortably.

The Miele Triflex HX1’s ability to stand independently is another excellent feature that Dyson stick vacuums lacked. And, since it’s available in a variety of colors, you can choose the one that matches your storage room’s décor for an extra touch of elegance.

Currently, the one we’re looking at is the HX1. There’s the HX1 Cat & Dog in the same lineup, which features an LED light on the floor head, and the Pro version, which has the same LED along with an additional battery.

Moreover, the Miele Triflex HX1’s battery is removable, which is another excellent feature. This function allows you to purchase an additional battery if your cleaning sections exceed the battery’s life.

While on the subject of batteries, the Miele Triflex HX1’s battery lasts for up to 60 minutes at low power settings and without any electrical attachments. When set at full power (47CFM), though, it will last about 20 minutes before it runs out of energy.

Both modes are great for cleaning hardwood floors, carpets, stairs, and just about any other surface in your house. Also, do not be fooled by the “low power settings.” Even in this mode, the vacuum had fantastic cleaning performance, with an airflow of 35CFM.

To avoid making this review seem like a newspaper article, we will briefly touch on the rest of the features.

The Miele Triflex HX1 boasts excellent filtration, a low noise level of 70 dBa, a wall-mounted dock station, and outstanding maneuverability.

What could have been better?

Now for the downside of the Miele Triflex HX1. Because this cleaner’s head has a low profile in the stick mode, it will struggle to pick up large items like cereal and cat litter.

In addition, even though it has plenty of wonderful features, it’s a little pricey, particularly when compared to the competition.

2-Miele Electro+ Canister Vacuum Marine Blue (Best Overall)

Miele Electro+ Canister Vacuum Marine Blue (Compact C2)

Every house needs a powerful canister vacuum, such as the Miele C2 Marine Blue. It has excellent suction power, a compact design, and costs less than the Miele C3 vacuums.

The Miele C2 is an electric-driven vacuum. In other words, the carpet floorhead has an internal motor. The SEB 228 (the power head) can be height adjusted.

This feature lets you establish a better seal with the surface you’re vacuuming, resulting in better cleaning performance. The SEB228 has solid and soft rubber wheels, so you don’t damage the surface.

Furthermore, since the SEB 228’s motor is a 1.65 amp, the brush roll was fantastic at cleaning up all sorts of dirt.

The floorhead also features a rubber strip at the bottom that traps debris, so you don’t have to keep going back and forth over the same area.

On top of the carpet floorhead, there’s a kick switch for adjusting the height and another for rotating the hose.

You can also clean hardwood floors with the “carpet floorhead.” All you have to do is adjust the height to the appropriate level.

However, since the carpet floorhead is a bit hefty, we recommend using the hard surface accessory. It does an excellent job of cleaning hardwood floors without adding any noticeable weight.

The Miele C2 is a completely sealed vacuum. To put it simply, all the air it sucks won’t leave the system until it’s fully filtered. Therefore, if you suffer from an allergy, this vacuum is the right choice.

Overall, the Miele C2 is the perfect example of a great, versatile canister vacuum. In addition to the things we’ve already mentioned, it’s also quiet, has strong suction, and is compact.

A bonus tip: If you decide to purchase this canister vacuum, keep this tip in mind because it will be game-changing.

When cleaning a rug, stop lowering the vacuum’s head with the height adjustment button once you notice the carpet has begun to agitate. This allows you to thoroughly clean the surface without sacrificing airflow.

What could have been better?

Despite being less costly than the C3 models, the Miele C2 is nevertheless a pricey canister vacuum.

3-Miele Classic C1 Pure Suction Canister (Most Affordable)

Miele, Graphite Grey Classic C1 Pure Suction Canister Vacuum Cleaner

The Miele C1 canister vacuums are the least expensive in the C lineup. They are also packed with remarkable features, making them excellent values.

So, what makes the Miele Classic C1 so special? To begin with, the Miele Classic C1 is an excellent choice for cleaning all forms of fine dust, debris, cereals, and so on. It also comes with five attachments for cleaning different surfaces.

The hose on this canister vacuum is 5 feet long, and the wand can be extended up to 3 feet.

Furthermore, the Miele C1 is bagged and has triple filtration. What’s fantastic about bagged vacuums is that they’re excellent for people who have allergies.

To make cleaning with this vacuum easier, Miele has included a bag change indicator. This feature will notify you when the bag is full. The LED is located at the top of the canister, making it almost impossible to miss.

This vacuum has a top-mounted attachment holder. It provides storage for three attachments: an upholstery nozzle, a crevice nozzle, and a cleaning brush.

What could have been better?

What we didn’t like about the Classic C1 is the position of the power button, cord rewind button, and selector dial. They’re all at the bottom of the canister, which forces you to bend every time you want to use one, which is inconvenient.

4-Miele Blizzard CX1 Pure Suction Bagless (Best Bagless)

Miele Blizzard CX1 Pure Suction Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner, Graphite Grey

If you hate having to buy dust bags all the time and want a Miele bagless canister vacuum, your best bet is the CX1. It’s Miele’s first bagless canister vac, and it boasts a slew of impressive features that we’ll go through with you.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 has many hose attachments, including an Ecotec carpet and hard floor nozzle, a Parquet twister XL for hard floors, an SRD for surfaces with cracks, such as floorboards, a soft dusting brush, a crevice tool, and an upholstery nozzle.

The Miele Blizzard CX1 filtration system is fantastic. You also have the “Comfort Clean” button, which will assist you in cleaning the filter.

Furthermore, when the Miele Blizzard CX1 detects that the filter needs to be cleaned, it will switch off and start the comfort cleaning feature. As a result, even if you don’t do it manually, this vacuum is smart enough to do it on its own.

The Miele Blizzard CX1’s Ecotec carpet and hard surface attachments were great at cleaning both hardwood floors and carpets.

This floorhead features a foot pedal that lets you move the brush up or down, depending on whether you’re cleaning hard floors or carpets.

But what did help with hard surfaces was the Parquet Twister XL. It’s wide, which allows cleaning large areas quickly and more effectively than the Ecotec accessory.

What could have been better?

When it came to cleaning pet hair from carpets with long piles, the Ecotec carpet and hard floor head fell a bit short.

It seemed to have trouble sucking up the clinging hair, so we had to go back and forth many times to get everything off the rug.

Why Are There No Miele C3 Vacuums?

Many of you are probably wondering why I didn’t include the top-of-the-line Miele C3 canister vacuums. The problem is that, despite their remarkable effectiveness in cleaning hard surfaces such as hardwood floors, they are not designed for this task.

For instance, the Miele C3 Marine that we reviewed recently got an amazing score in almost every aspect. But it was too expensive and had too many unnecessary features for someone who just wants to clean hardwood floors and carpets with low to medium piles.

When should you consider a Miele C3 vacuum? If you have long pile rugs at home and suffer from allergies, then a Miele C3 would be a great choice. Other than that, we recommend you stick with the options we mentioned above.

Conclusion

Do you have any questions in mind regarding one of the vacuums mentioned above? Then feel free to share it in the comment section below, and we will try to answer you as quickly as possible.

I hope you didn’t miss our previous article detailing the most effective methods for removing turmeric stains from hardwood floors.

A Miele vacuum won’t be able to remove such a stain, so you’ll have to rely on one of those incredible cleaning tips to get the job done.
